Metal processing die is a kind of complicated and expensive process equipment, it is an important factor of production of stamping parts. Because the die manufacturing cycle is longer, the cost is higher, and the production is complete. Therefore, in order to ensure the normal operation of production, improve the quality accuracy of parts and reduce the cost of parts, in addition to the correct operation and use in the production process, but also must carry out careful maintenance and maintenance of the die, in order to ensure the technical state of the die, prolong its service life.

The maintenance of the die includes the use, operation, storage and repair of the die. The following matters should be paid attention to:
First, if the mold is new, it must be qualified after test punching and with a certificate of qualification; If the mold is old, the "resume card" of the mold should be checked. Check whether the mold used and the press are used correctly against the process documents, and check whether the mold appearance and convex and concave die have cracks, crushing and other defects.
2. Check before installing and adjusting the mold:
The feeding device of the press should be temporarily adjusted to the highest position.
Hardware processing press and die closing height is suitable.
Whether the discharge device on the die is compatible with the press.
Whether the upper and lower formwork on the die and the bottom surface of the press slider and the working table are wiped clean.
3. After installing and adjusting the mold, check whether there are foreign bodies or other tools inside and outside the mold.
Four, the mold in the process of use, should be timed lubricator working surface (such as concave and convex die cutting edge or working cavity) and activity matching surface (such as guide parts).
5. When disassembling the mold, use the hand to understand the flywheel (medium and large punch press with micro button), slowly drop the slider, make the upper and lower molds in the closed state, then loosen the fastening parts fixed on the upper mold, lift the slider to the top dead center to release the upper mold, and finally remove the fastening parts of the lower mold.
6. The unloaded mold shall be returned to the mold library or the designated place of storage in its entirety.
7. For the moulds placed in the moulds inventory, the moulds management card shall be filled in truthfully. The mold management card should implement one mold one card, generally managed by the mold manager.
Eight, when the hardware processing mold failure, should be repaired in time. The mold that has been repaired and restored to its technical state shall be tested and verified before it can be used, and shall be returned to the warehouse and used. Meanwhile, the repair status shall be recorded in the mold management card.
